Please Note: This installation manual assumes the door is already prepped with a 2 1/8" boring hole and latch hole.
Please Note: Your lock is shipped with a default user code of 1234 and default programming code of 123456. These should be deleted/changed immediately after installation for security purposes (instructions provided at the end of this installation manual).
- Latch Installation
A. Latch Backset
The BACKSET is the distance between the center of the boring hole to the edge of the door. Set the latch backset to match your door by pulling the cam to either side.
Image A shows the latch when set to a backset of 2-3/8" (60mm) and image B shows the latch when positioned for a 2-3/4" backset.
B. Install Latch
Insert the latch and tighten with 2 screws provided.
C. Install Strike Plate
Insert the strike and secure it with screws.
- Install Keypad Assembly
Before placing the front keypad assembly onto the outside of the door, check the following:
A. Ensure that the tailpiece is in the vertical position.
B. Pass the power cable over the latch to the interior side of the door.
Place the keypad assembly on the front of the door. Make sure to position the handle so that is facing away from the edge of the door.
- Install Inside Mounting Plate
The inside mounting plate will secure the keypad assembly to the door. On the inside of the door, hold up the mounting plate and pass the power cable through the wire hole.
Secure the mounting plate with the largest screws provided.
- Install Interior Lock
A. Secure the interior handle. Position the lever so that the handle faces away from the edge of the door towards the hinges.
Slide the handle onto the lock assembly and push down until it clicks into place. If you accidentally install the handle the wrong direction, instructions for changing handing are at the end of these instructions.
B. Connect the front to back power cable.
C. Place interior lock on the door. Remove the battery cover and ensure that the thumb turn is in the horizontal position. Then place the lock on the door.
D. Secure interior lock with 3 screws.
- Install Batteries
Insert 4 AA Alkaline or Lithium batteries into the battery compartment, then replace the battery cover and slide the battery cover back onto the lock.
NOTE: Do not use rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries can lead to inconsistent behavior on the lock.

- Locking and Unlocking
A. Locking
To lock your door, either turn the thumb turn on the interior handle to the vertical position. You can also lock it from the keypad side of the door by pressing the LockState button once.
B. Unlocking
Your lock has a default code of 1234. To unlock your door, enter 1234 and then press the LockState button.
All pin codes must be followed by the LockState button to unlock the door.
- Connect to WiFi
You can now connect your lock to your WiFi router.

- Delete/Change Defaults
Your lock is shipped with the following factory default settings. The default pin of 1234 should be deleted after installation and the default programming code of 123456 should be changed immediately after installation.
- Keypad Programming Code: 123456
- User Code: 1234
- Auto-Lock Mode: Enabled
- Auto-lock Delay Duration: 5 seconds
- Keypad Sound: Enabled
- Heartbeat Interval: 1 hour
To delete the default user code:
This can be deleted from the web application under the lock settings, or from the keypad by entering:
123456 Lock/Unlock button 120 Lock/Unlock button 1234
To change default keypad programming code:
This can be deleted from the web application under the lock settings, or from the keypad by entering:
123456 Lock/Unlock button 100 LockState button New 4-10 digit code
Be sure that the lever is unlocked before changing handing.
Interior Handle
Insert the provided pin wrench into the small hole on the neck of the lever and apply pressure to depress the catch pin.
Pull the handle away from the lock body off the lock assembly. The handle can then be reversed and snapped back onto the lock.
Exterior Handle
Insert the key and turn to the unlocked position. Insert the provided pin wrench into the small hole on the neck of the lever and apply pressure to depress the catch pin.
Pull the handle away from the lock body off of the lock assembly.
The handle can then be reversed and snapped back onto the lock.
Programming Functions, Manual Programming, or Keypad Programming
You can use the keypad to perform several functions. These functions can also be performed remotely from the RemoteLock app. None of the following functions are required for setup.
All keypad programming functions follow the same general steps:
- Enter your PROGRAMMING CODE, followed by the Lock/Unlock button.
- Enter the FUNCTION CODE for the desired function, followed by the Lock/Unlock button.
- Some functions will also require you to enter a FUNCTION VALUE, followed by the Lock/Unlock button.
Function Codes
100: Change Programming Code
The programming code is essentially a password. This code allows you to program the lock directly, using the keypad. By default, the code is 123456.
You can change this code to anything 4–8 digits in length. To set a new programming code, enter the following on the lock’s keypad:
Enter your current PROGRAMMING CODE followed by the Lock/Unlock button, 100 followed by Lock/Unlock, and then enter your NEW PROGRAMMING CODE followed by Lock/Unlock
If successful, you will see two green flashes and hear two beeps. If an error was made, you will see a red flash.
110: Add a Local Code
Local Codes are intended to be used as a backup to User Codes created from the app. If internet is unavailable, you can program a code directly from the lock. Note that schedules cannot be applied to a Local Code.
Local Codes can be 4–8 digits in length. To Add a Local Code, enter the following on the lock’s keypad:
Enter your PROGRAMMING CODE followed by the Lock/Unlock button, 110 followed by Lock/Unlock, and then enter your desired LOCAL USER CODE followed by Lock/UnlockE.
Once any local Code or User Code from the app is added to the lock, the default User Code (1234) will be disabled.
120: Delete Local Code
If you would like to remove your Local Code, enter the following on the lock’s keypad:
Enter your PROGRAMMING CODE followed by the Lock/Unlock button, 120 followed by Lock/Unlock and then enter the existing LOCAL USER CODE followed by Lock/Unlock
130: Erase ALL Local Codes
If you would like to remove ALL of your existing Local Codes, enter the following on the lock’s keypad:
Enter your PROGRAMMING CODE followed by the Lock/Unlock button, 130 followed by Lock/Unlock.
For the following functions, enter this command on the lock’s keypad:
Enter your PROGRAMMING CODE followed by the Lock/Unlock button, then the corresponding FUNCTION CODE followed by followed by Lock/Unlock
320: Enter 320 followed by Lock/Unlock to beacon the lock’s network to connect Wi-Fi, or connect to a new network.
131: Erase all user codes, except 1234 default.
135: Perform a factory reset. Careful, this will delete all codes, schedules, and events.
140: Reset door handing. Note: place deadbolt in the unlocked position for this step.
160: Mute keypad beeping.
161: Unmute keypad beeping.
270: DISABLE Auto-Lock. Your lock will stay unlocked after being unlocked.
271: ENABLE Auto-Lock. Your lock will automatically lock after each use.
312: Reset Wi-Fi connection. (Forget All Known Connections and Networks).
320: Enter Access Point Mode to allow connection to another network. Multiple networks can be programmed for backup.
411: Enter 411 followed by Lock/Unlock to force Wi-Fi to wake up if the lock is currently set to not wake up when the keypad is pressed.
