What is a mobile access system?
Mobile access is the use of a mobile device (e.g. smartphone or tablet) to gain access to secured doors, gates, networks, services, and more. Our solution provides your business and staff the convenience and flexibility of using their mobile devices while enhancing your facility's image.
How do I use my mobile device as a mobile key? (also commonly referred to as a mobile pass or mobile credential)
A user simply needs to install the SimpleAccess app and activate it with an email from the access control system admin. With the app open and Bluetooth turned ON in the mobile device, a user simply needs to approach the SR3 mobile access reader. The reader will sense both the motion and reads the ‘mobile key’ connecting to the device via low energy bluetooth. The mobile device may be left in a pocket, purse, or bag. (No tapping, waving, or touching the reader.) This hands-free operation is both convenient and highly secure.
Can I use wearables like my Apple Watch for access?
At this time, current Apple WatchOS versions are not supporting the SimpleAccess mobile keys and bluetooth connection.
Where can I download the SimpleAccess App?
You can download the SimpleAccess App on the iOS App Store or Google Play Store to get started.
Can I use my mobile phone as a key fob or access card?
With the SR3 mobile access reader, you may use a mobile device to access a door similar to how one would use an access card or fob. It’s actually easier and hands-free – no cards or fobs to remember to bring or to dig out of pockets or bags!
Can I still use my proximity (prox) access card or fob with the SR3 mobile reader?
Yes, the SR3 mobile access reader is compatible with your existing prox access cards or fobs, giving you the flexibility to have access your way!
