If you are experiencing issues with a card not reading on your lock or want to activate card reading on your lock:
- Verify your lock came with card reading capabilities
- Model # contains "WS" on the 4500, 5500, 6500 Series
- Model # contains "C" on the 600, 700, 800 Series
- Verify you are using a Mifare Classic card
- To ensure proper card format and programming we recommend sourcing from SimpleAccess
- Place and hold the card over the lock's keypad and hold for 30 seconds (typically, the lock will respond in<2 seconds)
- If the lock does not respond, please try resetting the lock's card reader settings on the lock and making sure card reading capabilities are on and card serial number (CSN) reading are on:
- To turn 'ON' the lock's card reader, enter lock programming code (6 digit number that comes with lock and usually customized), and # 381 #. Two green flashes and two beeps should occur for a successful entry.
- to turn 'ON' card serial number (CSN) reading, enter lock programming code, # 421 #. Two green flashes and two beeps should occur for a successful entry.
