Over-tightening the installation screws (into the posts of the opposite lock face) of SimpleAccess locks can DAMAGE the lock; causing lock failure.
HAND TIGHTEN ONLY ONLY. Using a torque screwdriver, the torque applied to tighten these should be no more than 5-10 in-lb's, ideally 7-8 in-lbs. These is a gentle hand tight torque. An example of torque screw driver can be found on Amazon or Grainger.
DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS to tighten these screws such as impact driver, impact wrench, or similar devices.
