Creating Door Groups allow you to assign access to all, or a set of all the doors in your account in one action. After creating a group, you can assign the door group (or group of door groups) to an Access User.
Giving a guest or user access to a door group will assign their credential to all the doors in that group.
To create your first door group or a new Door Group, go to the Devices tab, select the "Door Groups" tab, and click "Add Door Group".
Please note, Door Groups could require a plan upgrade. This can be configured from your account's Billing settings.
Click Add Door Group and name your group.
Add the devices you would like to include in the door group by clicking 'Manage Door Access'.
- doors must have wifi connected devices
Select the devices and/or previously created Door Groups that you want to include in your new door group.
Next to the 'Pending Updates' icon at the top of the page, click 'SEE ALL SELECTIONS' to view all the doors or groups of doors being added to the Door Group. This is useful when adding doors by searching or selecting doors across multiple pages.
Click 'SAVE'
When editing an existing door group, select 'Manage Door Access' after clicking into the Door Group, and add or remove doors.
Click SEE ALL SELECTIONS when editing to see new doors being added and existing doors being removed.
Hover over the hamburger icon to see the doors in an existing door group.
Edit a Door Group name by clicking the pencil icon.
Delete a Door Group by clicking the trash can.
Please Note: If a Door Group has been assigned to an Access User, and the Door Group is Deleted, the Access User's Door Access will be removed from all the doors in that group.
Group Conflicts
For Group conflicts, the last action/save rules.
For example, suppose a user is given access to an individual lock along with an access schedule by being granted access to a group. Then later, suppose this same individual is granted access to a group with a different access schedule and this door group has that same individual lock in it from the previous group. The access on this individual lock is now in conflict. In this case, the system will use the most recent access grant (and its schedule) to resolve the conflict.
Door Groups are a great way to provide access to a subset of locks in one easy action.
Similar to Common Doors but used for groups or 'groups of groups' of specific doors.
